Payment:

You enquire, we discuss the price for your individual requirements, once you have found what you are looking for and are happy to proceed, we send you an invoice for the full 100% tour balance with an online payment link (PayPal & GoCardless) unless a different form of payment (for example bank transfer or cash) has been agreed.

By paying you have read, agreed to and accept our www.unicorntours.co.uk terms & conditions:

Amendments:
* Free of charge if changed to another (at that stage) available www.unicorntours.co.uk date
* Treated as a cancellation (see cancellation fees below) if date change request is for a date on which www.unicorntours.co.uk is unavailable (please refer to our online calendar)
* Plus any possible already additional prepaid arrangements made by Unicorn Tours, such as accommodation, ferries, etc. that you may have requested, in case third party cancellation/amendment fees apply

* Unicorn Tours reserves the right to amend and vary the route, stops and places we visit due to severe weather conditions (high winds, flooding, snow, ice), road closures, diversions and force majeure, this can among other things include an amber/yellow warning on http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/, blizzard, freezing fog, gales with storm gust of in excess of 65 miles per hour, flooding and similar for much of the day along most of our route and no other alternative options (for example more sheltered lower routes or a touring a different less exposed part of Scotland instead) are possible.

Cancellation fees:

(a) Peak cancellation fees (for June – August travel dates) in the event of everyone in the travel group cancelling, so 0 person joining the tour:
* Up to 60 days before departure 12.5% of the tour price
* 59 – 30 days before the tour departure date 50% of the tour price
* 29 – 15 days before the tour 75% of the tour price
* Within 14 days of departure 100% of the tour price
* Plus any possible already additional prepaid arrangements made by Unicorn Tours, such as accommodation, ferries, etc., that you may have requested, in case third party cancellation/amendment fees apply
In order to cancel or amend, please give us written notice by email.
* Unicorn Tours reserves the right to cancel and fully refund your tour in the event of very severe weather conditions and force majeure.

(b) Standard cancellation fees (for March – May & September – October travel dates) in the event of everyone in the travel group cancelling, so 0 person joining the tour:
* Up to 1 month before departure 12.5% of the tour price
* Within 30 days of departure 25% of the tour price
* Within 5 days of departure 75% of the tour price
* Within 2 days of departure 100% of the tour price
* Plus any possible already additional prepaid arrangements made by Unicorn Tours, such as accommodation, ferries, etc., that you may have requested, in case third party cancellation/amendment fees apply
In order to cancel or amend, please give us written notice by email.
* Unicorn Tours reserves the right to cancel and fully refund your tour in the event of very severe weather conditions and force majeure.

(c) Low season cancellation fees (for November – February travel dates) in the event of everyone in the travel group cancelling, so 0 person joining the tour:
* Up to 16 days of departure 0% of the tour price
* Within 15 days of departure 12.5% of the tour price
* Within 5 days of departure 25% of the tour price
* Within 2 days of departure 100% of the tour price
* Plus any possible already additional prepaid arrangements made by Unicorn Tours, such as accommodation, ferries, etc., that you may have requested, in case third party cancellation/amendment fees apply

* Unicorn Tours reserves the right to cancel and fully refund your tour in the event of very severe weather conditions and force majeure.

In the event of your travel dates falling within 2 different cancellation seasons, the for your more favourable cheaper cancellation fees apply.

Cancellations of individual(s) within a private tour group:
The cost per day for the mini-bus and driver/guide to run the tour remains the same, no matter if you have a group of 8,7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 individual:
· Low season daily tour rate £200 for travel from November to February
· Standard season daily tour rate £300 for travel in March & October
· Standard season midweek student group rate £225 for travel Mon. – Fri. in March & October
· Peak season daily tour rate £360 for travel from April to September

The tour is not considered a cancelled tour, so long as there at least still 1 travelling passenger on the tour.

· If in a private group booking, the number of passengers goes up (max. passenger number 8), the price for the tour per person goes down

· If in a private group booking, the number of passengers goes down (min. passenger number 1), the price for the tour per person goes up

In the event of no/only partial cancellation fees for the individual(s) cancelling in a private group, the cost per person for the remaining passengers will go up accordingly as per our pricelist, if for the individual(s) who had to cancel, no replacement passenger(s) could be found and less passengers have to share the same per day tour rate for the mini-bus and driver/guide.

The cancellation fee of individual(s) of joining a special tour, for which a set per person/per seat tour price was advertised is subject to the relevant per person/per seat price cancellation fee of the tour travel dates (a), (b) or (c).

Cancellation due to red or amber BBC severe weather alerts

• Should there be a red or amber BBC severe weather alert and we decide to cancel your tour for safety reasons, we will refund you in full
