Scotland has over 800 islands, over 70 we visit by ferry, Scotland just as in Norway has many fjords/sealochs and a very indented, rugged coastline with many huge peninsulas, especially in the Northwest and a total coastline in excess of 16000 km / 10000 miles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Scotland#Coastline. Come and join us on our visits of coastal Scotland, where depending on the tour itinerary, time/distances and preferences of the group, we visit hundreds of beaches, just mentioning a very few from North to South:

Year of the coast & waters 2020 – Visit Scotland

  • The Shetland islands – there are over 300 islands – have 2800 km of coastline and some of the most unspoilt beaches in Scotland

  • The Orkney islands, incl. Stronsay and Sanday have glorious beaches
  • Each of the Outer Hebrides – Lewis, Harris, North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist, Eriskay & Barra – to name just a few have all got a long list of some of the most beautiful beaches imaginable

  • Stunning beaches on the Inner Hebrides, incl. on Coll, Tiree, Colonsay, Iona and Mull
  • Whereever we travel on the Scottish mainland from the many glorious beaches of Durness, Balnakeil Sutherland,

  • Caithness, Ross & Cromarty in the North – Moray, Aberdeenshire, Angus (incl. Angus coastal path), Fife (incl. Fife coastal path), Lothian (incl. Yellowcraigs, Gullane & N. Berwick) and the Borders in the East – & along the entire Westcoast from Sandwood bay or Achmelvich bay in the Northwest to Machrihanish bay north of the Mull of Kintyre in the SW – whenever possible we try to include one or more beach stops on our tours
