Depending on definition, there are between 500 to 2000 castles in Scotland – at Unicorn Tours we stop, visit, photostop, pick up and drop off at most of the Scottish castles , including:
National Trust of Scotland sites
and the many privately owned castles, including the 2 royal residencies at Balmoral castle and Holyrood palace.
On all of our tours throughout each Scottish region (including the Aberdeenshire castle trail on our multi-day Aberdeenshire & Highland tours) we are able to include visits to some of Scotland’s finest castles, including Dunrobin castle in the Northeast, the fairytale Cawdor castle near Inverness and Inveraray castle in Argyll on the Westcoast, etc.
