• pick up from Stirling, the Uni, from nearby places & along the way
• scenic journey with stops along the way through the Loch Lomond & Trossachs nationalpark to the Western Highlands and the spectacular Argyll coast – depending on the group’s preferences and the weather on that day various stunning route options do exist
• arriving in Oban, the picturesque, always buzzing Westcoast harbour town with a constant flow of ferries arriving & departing to/from the Inner, Southern & Outer Hebridean islands

For day 1 it will be a group decision to choose which route you prefer to travel to Oban:

1. The “traditional” tourist route via the Trossachs, Glencoe, the Ballachulish bridge & south along the coast past Castle Stalker & across the Falls of Lora to Oban.
2. The quickest way to Oban via the Trossachs, Dalmally, Loch Awe/Kilchurn castle photostop & past the Falls of Lora giving plenty of free time options in Oban, including to visit the Oban whisky distillery
3. The longest route via Cowal, Loch Fyne, Tarbert & across the stunning peninsulas of South Argyll, Kilmartin prehistoric glen to Oban

• everyone is free to choose their own accommodation, incl. mid-range B&Bs and superior hotels in Oban
• we have however prebooked & guarantee budget accommodation at the clean, welcoming, friendly, central Oban SYHA hostel right by the waterside esplanade, options:
• 1 bed in a male bunkroom bed £20 pppn
• 2 beds in a female bunkroom £20 pppn
• 6 beds private ensuite room for 6 together from the group £23.50 pppn

We are checking out of the hostel by 1 1/2 hours before the ferry departure

We are heading for the ferry to Mull/prebooked ferry:

Oban dep. 09.45 am – arr. Craignure/Mull 10.35 (stunning ferry ride with islands, peninsulas, mountain views all around, incl. the Lismore lighthouse & Duart Castle)

10.35 am – 15.50 pm is our 1/2 day taster tour on the Isle of Mull

beaches, cliffs, stunning coastal scenery, spectacular islands’ views (incl. Iona) & picturesque Tobermory (time permitting)

Craignure/Mull 15.50 pm – 16.50 pm Oban ferry

With a couple of photo stops we are heading into the sunset and on our journey back towards Stirling

Depending on the groups’ interests, preferences, our departure time from Stirling and the weather on the day, there is a few different spectacular routes to Oban and we will discuss with the group a few days before the departure day

Once we arrive in Oban, you have free time, we always go at least for a stunning photostop at McCaig’s Folly, there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and seafood places in Oban

• If this is a multi-day tour, we discuss with you for each night, if you prefer to choose your own hotel, B&B guesthouse or hostel accommodation at the place of each overnight tour accommodation or alternatively as we often offer on many of our Scottish islands & off the beaten track tours – if you are happy to opt into our already prebooked, confirmed and guaranteed budget, often hostel accommodation option – so as to establish if the cost we invoice you is including or excluding the accommodation

• To book the tour, we will send you an invoice with an e-pay/online PayPal link, which allows you to pay either by Paypal, card or also by (UK or international) bank transfer
• Once paid, we send you a tour confirmation

2-3 days before the tour departure, we will send you the tour joining instructions, incl. some tips, incl. the latest weather forecast for the day and the order of pick ups, for example:

1. Tour guest A + B pick up from their Falkirk accommodation @ 7.40 am
2. Tour guest C pick up from Stirling/Tesco carpark @ 8 am
3. Tour guest D pick up from Stirling University Alexander Court @ 08.10 am
4. Tour guest E pick up from Stirling University Beech Court @ 08.15 am
5. Tour guest F pick up from Bridge of Allan/Co-op carpark @ 08.20 am
6. Tour guest G + H join us along our tour route and we pick them up at the Callander bus stop @ 8.40 am
